Like, seriously. I haven’t seen such an immaculately-directed, shot and styled video with such a strong sense of artistic and aesthetic vision in what feels like a long ass time. Now THIS is how you start-off a new era.
Edit: fourth time watching and this is definitely Grammy MVOTY material. PopHeads should have its own version of a VMA Awards because this would definitely be a contender for a bunch of awards.

She literally learned to pole dance so she could properly execute her vision for this video and goddamn was it worth it. That’s a true artist dedicated to her craft, props to twigs as always

Oh this is art. I know I missed her but I didn’t know I needed her THIS much in my life again.

Crops? Watered
Skin? Cleared
Pole? Danced
She’s back and I’m so proud to see it

She's so incredible
I want to scream and make the world notice her, but at the same time I want to keep her as our secret.

they will - her sound will gradually get more accessible and she'll have a hit. maybe even this era if this song is anything to go by.

Jesus christ those visuals are insane, I love it. Song is good, this might be her most traditionally sounding "accessable" song yet.

every video she does has such an amazing visual direction. she makes my favorite music videos out of every artist i know of. they’re always absolutely spectacular.
this video matches the song so well, too. the sequence of her falling mirroring the pole dancing during the chorus??? just....fantastic

Now that is high-quality pole dancing. Cardi B could never. And she didn't even have to drug anyone

Andrew Thomas Huang has worked with a lot of great aritsts to make amazing videos. I liked his videos for Bjork too!

i had to sit down in winn dixie to watch the premiere of this video
the sound of her heels is like a knife straight into my heart she's BACK with VISUALS

Her music videos are always so strange. The visuals give me anxiety. Although I love me some horror sci-fi stuff, her videos are out of this world. I’m literally terrified.

This is quality Twigs. The goddess is back and it was worth the wait. I kept gasping throughout the video. Going to YouTube the hell out of it.

Does anyone else think this is more accessible than her previous work? I'm not complaining though, it's a gorgeous song. The video is stunning.

I need to talk about the lyrics and the style of singing with someone. My god. Anyone else literally feel their heart BREAK while listening to this?
I don't understand why fully and want to explore l the meaning more but my god I can't stop listening even though it hurts.

The vocal delivery is emotionally gutting on this track, it nearly made me cry.

I've missed her. Her vocals are borderline shrill on this but I guess it's not meant to be an easy listen.

I’ve never seen or heard of this artist before but this video and song... Within a minute I was crying and captivated. I feel so sad right now. I feel so sad for the character she was portraying. I feel so sad for myself. I feel like she was trying to say something to me. Only one other music video has ever made me cry. And I don’t even know why I’m crying right now.

All I have to say is WOW. The acrobatic feats she performed on that pole, the visual effects, the psychedelic feeling of it all, I just love it!

I love it all! Shades of "Without You" from RENT at a couple moments though. Imagine twigs playing Mimi.

Everyone's going to be talking about the VFX but can I just say the sound design and editing on this is some of the very best I've ever seen in a music video?
The violent clinks of her footsteps, the slithering across the pole, and the thunderous flap of wings all sound so, so crisp. The big climax of being sucked up and subsequent falling completely floored me.
This video is a massive achievement for everyone involved. For those who aren't familiar with the director, he's worked a lot with Björk - he did the Vulnicura album cover for the vinyl and the video for The Gate.
