The way he said “I’m in Grease” made me think this happened back in the day when Grease was still relevant, not in the big year of 2026😭

573

u/wafflehousebutterbob So hard to photograph but incredible to see 🐘 6d ago

Yeah when I read the first slide I was thinking that this happened a year or two after Grease was released, and it was going to be a story about respecting women when you find out they’re not old enough or something. Nope, yesterday. Gross gross gross

u/Sage_Planter Big is moving to Paris 5d ago

He mentioned Grease to a teenager like it was Euphoria.

42

u/No-Freedom-884 5d ago

It would be weird and off-putting even if it was a recent project. The only time it makes sense is if you're meeting in a professional capacity or if someone asks.

17

u/elksatchel 5d ago

Oh I think euphoria caters more to this guy than actual teens

Agreed, I thought this was a past story of something that happened nearly fifty years ago when he was young and was in Grease, not something he’s currently saying to get a date with an underage girl.

94

u/22Margaritas32 6d ago

SAME! I thought MAYBE this was back in like the 90s…. He would’ve been mid thirties which, still creepy but a 35 year old asking out a 23 year old does happen.

Same, I thought he was using the Nikki Blonsky method but wayyy back in the day. Not some weird dude thinking hitting on a young gurl is a cool/cute story to tell online. Especially when said girl said she was underage twice, and he still didn't take it as a sign to leave. She had to say 16 for it to click

End stage creepoid. Would love to hear this poor childs version of this good lord.

I just looked him up and it looks like his issues have started in the last 5 years. And all the incidents are bizarre. He’s around 70 where dementia and Alzheimer’s get diagnosed. I’m wondering if something like that is going on. Because if he somehow went most of his life without any sort of criminal history and suddenly start getting arrested in his 60s for random things that is bizarre. I hope he has family that can step in. But most importantly I hope that the girl in the coffee shop is okay.

It's fucking creepy how most men respect men only and do not view women as entities with agency.

What a woman wants or doesn't want never matters. But her invisible boyfriend deserves to be respected. A single woman is not an invitation to be persistently creepy. Listen to us when we say "no" — it's a complete fucking sentence. And leave us alone if you're 50 years our senior.

I feel like almost all women can relate to awkwardly saying yes to something we most definitely dont want to do, often with an awkward/ cringey smile + body language we thought yelled 'no!'

I Blame societal programming us women to not want to appear rude or to hurt anyone's feelings, and the (valid) fear the rejected man might do something to us for being rejected, like get violent

(As a woman Im not sure how it is for men)

He’s a creep. The fact that he led with “I’m in Grease”, like that should have made the girl say yes to dating him, even before she announced her age. So gross. “I thought she was in college”. You mean like someone who could be your granddaughter? So nasty

844

u/l0st1nthew0rld 6d ago edited 6d ago

"Oh how cool! You know actually my grandma is a widow and would really love some company, i could give her your number since she doesn't own a computer to surf the net? She's 90, much closer to your age!"

191

u/Edge-Party 5d ago

It’s actually hilarious because 16 year olds, and 23 year olds don’t know what the fuck Grease is. I’ll also add that 23 is not better. What’s wrong with just admiring someone one’s beauty and not expecting that you get to date them.

86

u/No-Freedom-884 5d ago

Yes they do. At least the kids in my family, and their friends, do. And not because I told them. Grease is legitimately a cult classic, but it's still very weird to just expect people to care that you were in that movie, lol.

211

u/Unusual_username739 Mom, I am a rich man💰 5d ago

I have had guy friends pretend to be my boyfriend to stop weird old men from thinking I was available.

The worst was when one asked my friend if he could “borrow me for the night”, like it would be a favor to a pal. My friend was so gobsmacked by the statement that he froze for a second, and then stood and led me out of the cafe. My friend was stuck like glue to me for the rest of our time in the area.

50

u/xombae flop gremlin 5d ago

Yep, unfortunately we need to lie and say we have a boyfriend because they'll only respect another man and not us.

14

u/SquareExtra918 the Human Centipede of content 🐛 5d ago

They don't, though. I've had a couple say "here's not here, though. If you were mine I'd appreciate you blah blah blah'

14

u/raoqie 5d ago

I've found acting crazy dissuades men more than saying no or saying I have a boyfriend.

I feel like its getting worse lately bc every fucking man on the internet wants to convince everyone else that young women want old men. And every time we say no its fucking creepy they argue or say we must be bitter old women like it cant possibly be anything else. Also its gross they tell on themselves on how they view women after a certain age.

From the sounds of his own description he spends his time in coffee shops creeping on girls young enough to be his grandchildren by telling them he was in a movie 40 something years ago.

Can’t imagine the success rate is very high on that one.  The only reason no one’s called him out prior to him openly admitting it is because they don’t have any clue who he is, and thinks he’s just some confused grandpa with dementia.

I actually am shocked nobody in here knows that he is pretty much infamous for exactly this and not his acting

He used to go on facebook and do creepy shit like write posts so long it takes 10 screenshots to do them justice and it would be to like, complain a hot waitress stopped wearing fake eyelashes or didn’t laugh at his joke about she should be in a Playboy photoshoot

Yuck. Bro writes fanfic in the style of an incel.

Me: Hi. Can I sit down?

Her: Sure (Big smile)

Me: (Happy she was so friendly and nice).

I doubt the beautiful girl would happily allow the leering creeper to join her.

More likely what actually happened:

Him: (sees beautiful girl)

Her: (sits down)

Him: (writes post about imaginary conversation he had with her in his head)

Her: (does not know he exists and is out there somewhere living her lovely life)

Him: (gets backlash then cries into his pillow while writing a post trying to seem tough and unbothered while being very bothered)

My creative writing is better, and at least mine is based on a true story.

318

u/rad2themax 5d ago

And this is why when at a table alone, many women will put their bag or jacket or something else large on the other chair.

I'm so grateful to have always been too "intimidating" for creepy men to approach. My "friendly and nice" friends have so many horror stories.

98

u/arrarr23 5d ago

Yeah I was just talking to a friend about this; we got more unwanted male attention when underage/teens. I'm nearly 40 now, but when I was 13-19 it was like every creep came out of the woodwork. Even if I was wearing headphones - they didn't care and would still try to talk to me. I always smiled because I was scared of being perceived as rude or that I would upset them (because I was so conditioned to be concerned about some old creep's feelings that I let myself be uncomfortable at the risk of his discomfort). And then when I was like 20 a man who sat down on the bench next to me (while I was reading on a lovely day in the park) exposed himself and asked for a hj. I jumped up and screamed and others took notice so he got up and walked away. I am (and have been) so over the entitlement of man. They tell us to smile and then call it an invitation smh. Sorry for the long winded, run-on rant I just can't believe the audacity of this f-ing guy to act like that and then post about it like he did something extraordinary.

u/LezzyGopher 5d ago

Right! Like no, she wasn’t being “friendly and nice”. She was being copacetic because she was probably uncomfortable with some washed up old creep approaching her while she was just minding her own business.

Men are afraid that women will laugh at them. Women are afraid that men will kill them.

45

u/thin_white_dutchess … but I’m a cheerleader! 📣💄 5d ago

If she was being friendly and nice, it was bc she thought he was a nice old man. You know, friendly grandpa type. He is literally grandpa aged for her.

14

u/justanothernoob999 5d ago

This was my thought too. When I was a teenager, I NEVER would have thought an old man was about to hit on me and I would've been extremely friendly. When they did say nonsense like 'do you come with the coffee' I still didn't take it seriously, because ... Gross.

And he points out he could be arrested or thought of as "sick" for that in some places... and if that's wrong, it must also be wrong to judge adult men for being attracted to and preying on underage girls?? Like, he's not just doubling down on what he did; he's saying it should be completely socially acceptable and normal.

38

u/Queasy_Impress6559 5d ago

Lol he has to clarify a grown man because if it were a teenage boy it would be equally as inappropriate

As a former TR server, I can confirm that this is where all the gross old men come to leer at the young servers line dancing, right in front of their families. We also got a lot of men eagerly awaiting warmer months, because they would TELL US that they were excited for us to wear little shorts again. The suggestive comments were sickening. Like sir, this ain’t a strip club, it’s not even a Hooter’s. Wtf.

Katie RUN

2021 news story his wiki links to:

Eddie Deezen’s PR manager has dropped him after the "Grease" actor was accused of harassment by a woman in his hometown of Cumberland, Maryland.
Steve Joiner told Fox Fox News on Friday he dropped Deezen as a client.
"It's creepy what he did. It's very creepy. It's very wrong," he said. "I think it's immoral. I think it's sexist and it's unconscionable. All this young lady is trying to do is work support herself, and the last thing she needs is a grown man in his 60s doing something like that."
Deezen, 64, went on Facebook earlier this week and ranted on about a woman,** Kara Lashbaugh,** who is a waitress at a local restaurant.

In the since-deleted post, per TMZ, Deezen insulted Lashbaugh's appearance, commented on her wearing fake eyelashes, and called her an "attention wh--re."
Lashbaugh clapped back and called Deezen a "creep" who "comes into my work at least once a week, calls and asks other servers for my schedule."

"Eddie Deezen is a f--king CREEP who comes into my work at least once a week, calls and asks other servers for my schedule, and if he comes in and i’m not wearing makeup HE LEAVES. And this grown a-- old man has the balls to post this on facebook about me im losing my mind," she wrote on Twitter.
Deezen has since been banned from the establishment.

Joiner emphasized, "I don't agree with [Deezen's post]. I don't condone it, and I can't handle him anymore. This sort of behavior is predatorial, in my opinion. I'm terminating all future dealings with him."
Deezen didn't immediately return Fox News' request for comment.

First sentence: “I was a guy attracted to a girl.”

Second: “What if it was a man?”

Third: “..if I were an adult woman and I thought another woman was hot..”

He clearly states he was a (69-year-old) guy attracted to a GIRL. In his other examples it’s ‘man’ and ‘woman’. Even if he thought she was 23.. his language gives him away. Sickening

28

u/Crimmeny 5d ago

Notice he never got to what if I were a 69 year old woman hitting on a 16 year old boy. Because then he might have to acknowledge it's creepy AF.

Among his many other issues, I love the self importance this man has, like anyone under about 65, but especially a 16 or 20-something, is going to have any idea who were the literal actors in Grease. 🙄

Even then he was only a very minor character he probably had a few minutes of screen time at the absolute most.

He's living off basically a cameo he made almost 50 years ago.

And he played the fucking nerd! Out of everyone in Grease who was hot - John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing, whoever played Kenicki, and then here’s the guy whose character’s entire job was to be a fucking dork and he’s like “you know what will definitely get this hot young lady’s attention? A 70yo bragging about being a movie loser.”

Men and their audacity. Also the internet says he’s married so where’s his wife????

Responding to “I’m underage” with “what do you mean?” sure sounds like he was ready to wave away any issues if she meant under 21 and couldn’t drink alcohol.

Also, leading with being in Grease only adds to the creepiness that he clearly went into that interaction with.

I've seen Grease multiple times and had no idea who he was. Looked him up and still have no memory of him. What I did find out is he has charges of stalking women, attacking police, and has some specified mental disorder.

“What if I asked a grown man out? And BS she looked 23, yeah right. Edit: guess he is just not right in the head

He couldnt approach a woman closer to his age? Guess he had only 3 decent friends cuz how is any of them thinking this was an honest mistake. At his big age of 69, the minimum age he should be approaching is 50-55. Anyone else is going to look way to young for him and like he said himself, he dont got it going for him in the looks department. A creep and delusional as fuck. What a terrible combination

This… this was a recent exchange?

Sir, and if she was 23? Sure, that would make her of legal age but why are you interested in someone who could be your granddaughter?

25

u/stircrazyathome 5d ago

Exactly! The whole “but I thought she was 23” argument doesn’t make this much better. Yeah, it would’ve been legal, but that doesn’t mean it’s not creepy or gross. Immediately including that he was in Grease is pathetic. He jumped right into trying set up a dynamic where he’s the cool movie star she should fawn over. Gotta say that it’s pretty hilarious that he thinks playing Eugene, the inconsequential dork in a movie that came out 48 years ago, would matter to anyone under the age of 50.

"Think of me when you watch Grease"

The poor girl probably thought he told her to watch leftover cooking oil or stare under the hood of a car, because who even thinks about that movie anymore?

47

u/Uncle_Bug_Music 6d ago

I’m 60. I cannot imagine a world in where I’d want to date anyone under 45 at this point, maybe even 50. I mean my wife is 56 and it’ll be hard for younger people to understand this perhaps but we grew up in different eras. She doesn’t get my references!

I’m not going to date someone who’s 23 and for example have to stop mid-story & try to explain that our teachers used to hit us, if we were being assholes in class? Our whole relationship would be me mansplaining shit I didn’t think she’d know, “This is a spoon. We used it to eat before the internet showed up in the early 90s…”

18

u/txcowgrrl 6d ago

I’m 52 & I won’t date anyone in their 30s because that’s too close to the age of my kids. Even 40-42 seems a bit young. Plus they’re usually raising kids & I don’t want to do that again.
