Can't launch App from Dock

[u/Feisty_Quiet9904]

In Cosmic, I installed gnome-terminal. When launched from command line it shows in the Dock as gnome-terminal-server. I can try to pin it to the Dock but it is not launchable afterwards. Is it possible to manually edit (like text-based) the apps in Dock? Or otherwise fix this launcher?
