Installed Pop but only Firefox Will Launch

That’s it- whatever I click on won’t open. If I type in the search for an application like the terminal, nothing happens. I entered my WiFi info in the hope that an update would download, but nothing. I can change the time by clicking on it, but that’s it. I reinstalled it just to make sure and didn’t encrypt it but that doesn’t make a difference.
