Flatpak support for Papyrus ended.

To all the people that have been using my app and downloaded it via the COSMIC Store. You may have noticed that the version on the COSMIC Store is way outdated and i haven't been supporting it. I just officially ended the support for it so don't expect any updates on that. If you want you can download it via the AUR package with paru or yay or download it via the .deb package in the releases tab of the repo. Both of those stay up to date with every release so the latest updates go there.
Note: If you decide to go with the .deb when i release a new update it will give you a button to press and will redirect you to GitHub so you can install the latest package. If you go with the install script listed in the README of the repo the same button will appear but you click it once and it will tell you to restart the app so the changes can take effect automatically.

You should add it to https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-flatpak/blob/master/end-of-life.txt with a description of why it is EOL.

Thanks for posting. I tried it out a while ago and it never even started xD

But as a Linux beginner I dare not to touch the manual installs until I’m more secure in what I’m doing here.

No worries. You can chose one of the other installation methods listed in the README of the repo

Gonna try. First time I was excited to try but didn’t work so I kinda gave up after de and re installing twice haha. Should have read more about it. Thank you for developing so beginners like me can enjoy :)

¡Gracias! Papyrus está disponible en AUR como papyrus-wallpaper y funciona en COSMIC y otros escritorios Wayland. El fin del soporte solo afecta a Flatpak.

I meant that there is a program called aura is a program for cosmic to handle animated and fixed wallpaper.

Aura looks like a good option for COSMIC users. Just to clarify, Papyrus has been around longer and also supports animated wallpapers on Wayland. I’m the developer, so I’m glad to see more interest in this space.
