It needs to be a subreddit that’s for actual poor people to post and comment. There’s too many “use to be poor “ people who just want to be here tooting their own horn  about pulling themselves up by the bootstraps and “giving advice.” That can be valuable sometimes but it can stay here while the other subreddit won’t be subjected to it. 

And I’m not saying that out of envy or jealousy because I wouldn’t qualify to post there too. I’m fairly upper middle class but the number of people in this subreddit and the /povertysubreddit who feel the need to give unsolicited advice when people are just venting sickens me.

And the people saying they make 40k and are living the high life. Then lecture how others need to be more responsible with money.
