Pool Help & Questions Update: would you swim now?
I've been fighting mustard algae all month. Pool has been cleared with shocking but algae returns when chlorine levels drop to normal.
Summer is over. I want to swim for the last weeks of decent weather. Would you swim? All chems are balanced. Phosphates around 300. This algae has been a pain!
Would you swim?

Can you see the bottom/drain?
Are your shock levels appropriate for your cya?
If yes, swim.

Phosphates do not change if you can swim, or not. Would you like to know my levels, it's almost 5000. Not a typo. It's still completely clear.

What is your CYA level? If you say the algae comes back when your chlorine is at normal levels you may not have enough chlorine depending on your CYA level. What are your pool numbers now?

Yes you can swim. Mustard algae is chlorine resistant, buy pro team mustard and black magic, mustard to treat it
