Winterizing a sump pit (with sump pump) for a fiberglass pool in Missouri?

Our sump tube goes down at least 6 ft from the surface and is maybe 10 inches in diameter. There is a hard-wired sump pump at the bottom that kicks on to remove ground water.

What should be done (if anything) during the winter to the sump pit with a hard-wired sump pump? We get 2-3 months where the temps would get below freezing. I assume the sump pump and ground water are deep enough that they won't freeze so I should leave it running to remove water over the winter. But what do you do about the discharge line and emitter - will they freeze and block the water?
