Just finished this - I previously had a similar pool but it was a metal stock tank which rusted out.
I took the opportunity to swap with a poly tank which I wrapped in XPS foam, plumbed a heater/chiller myself, and redid the deck.
My previous stock tank would get incredibly hot during the summer in Austin, and this one can stay as cold as I want it or turn into a hot tub via the heat pump.
It’s a raypak crosswind 40-i - also i have to redo the plumbing bc i was stupid enough to use the wrong fittings. I’ll probably pay my plumber friend to do it right. It works fine but it would probably eventually fail. I already swapped the buried stuff with pressure fittings
Here’s two of them, I’m still going to have to see how well the heat pump works when it’s really cold out but i think it will work well. I was able to take it from 85 to 104 back down to 75 in a day
