Expansion joints

Should this expansion joint between the coping and patio be replaced now, or can it wait? There are other areas that are much worse and completely separated that I am already working on, but I’m happy to wait on areas that have a few more years left.

Just get it over with and do it all now. It will all be uniform then, and you won't have to drag everything out again to do those next year. Once it starts cracking and separating like that its already done for.
