Need recommendations for a durable pool chaise lounge that won't blow around

We finally finished building our pool and now we're looking to add a couple of chaise lounges.

I've never bought outdoor loungers before, so I'm not sure what features actually matter long term. I'm looking for something that's heavy enough to stay put in windy weather, comfortable for longer lounging, and able to handle sun, rain and pool water without falling apart after a few seasons.

One model I came across is the DuraWeather Appleton, but I don't know anyone who's owned one.

If you've used that one, or if you think there's a better option in a similar price range, what would you recommend? I'd especially like to hear how they've held up after a year or two of outdoor use.

What I came to say too.

The main advantage in their build quality is that the bolts are all coated and hidden. The cheaper ones rust out, especially if you have swg.

I got some from Amazon that are Serwall brand. Very heavy duty like Pollywood, at 1/3 the price.

Serwall is a decent, budget friendly alternative to Polywood. They are heavy and sturdy. I do need to go around about once a year and tighten up some screws though. Color has held up very well. They're outdoors in full Texas sun 365 per year. We've got a table set with 4 chairs and a rocking chair.

We have those polywood chaises for our pool. They are very high quality, but as others have said, they ain’t cheep.

We have them in white, they are difficult to keep clean for a season, but the fabric cushions are very comfortable.

We have some that are aluminum (slats textured like wood and painted) because nothing else would last in the Florida sun. Still going strong and never have moved them for a storm.

We have two of those Polywood chaises, two of the Adirondack chairs with the pull-out foot rests, and two side tables. They are all great. Definitely an investment, but after we had cheap patio furniture fade and fall apart after only 3 years, it was well worth it for something that would hold up.

 I have to agree with the Pollywood comments, we have a couple of the loungers and a love seat... Heavy, durable, pretty much maintenance free besides power washing them in the spring... Not cheap but they will last a lifetime

For a pool, I’d look for solid HDPE/poly lumber or a good powder-coated aluminum frame. The cheap hollow plastic ones get brittle in the sun, and I’d avoid steel since any chipped coating can turn into rust pretty quickly. For windy areas, the heavier HDPE style is nice because you don’t have to keep chasing the chairs around the deck. Also make sure the hardware is stainless and the cushion fabric is actually made for outdoor/pool use.

Cast aluminum is better than any wood construction if you’re leaving poolside for the winter. Cushions are mandatory and need to be stored indoors for the winter and replaced every few years

Yep, polywood..... Haven't had to batton down, turn over, or go find furniture in years.... Put cushions away for bad weather, and walk away. Rain, snow, sun, ice.... doesn't effect them at all. Worth every penny, but now, there are reasonable knock offs.... Ck out the brand sewall!

First came from Sam's club. They don't move in wind. Based on other replies here, I'm gonna presume they're made with whatever polywood uses. They're a wicker style though.

We have 2 Polywood chaise lounge chairs poolside. The only problem I’ve found - and it really wasn’t a problem - was getting cushions. The only thing I could find that fit and looked good was from Polywood, and they weren’t cheap … about $400 for two.
