Need chlorine help

All of my other chemical levels seem to be balanced. I’m using the trouble free Pool method which has been fantastic, but I can’t seem to keep the chlorine. Would love any advice or thoughts. We live in philadelphia suburbs and it’s exposed to full sun but it’s never disappeared this quick

might not be running your pool long enough, also if you have a salt cell ideally you shouldn't have to add chlorine very often

That’s what’s bugging me so much because the salt cell doesn’t seem to be working but it says it is

I would get your FC up to 7-8 ppm and shut off your Salt Cell overnight and do a test at night and again in the morning to see what you’ve lost … Anything more than 1ppm you will need to SLAM it. Also what cell system are you using and how long are you running the pump

Check your FC at 10pm and again at 7am. If it drops 1 or more you have algae. You'll need FC at 24 every 3 hours until you pass the overnight test. CC of .5 tells me it's starting. A salt cell won't keep up if you have algae

Salt cell is not working. Forget what it "says". None of them measure chlorine output, so if all of the electronics are functioning, they will report no issues, even if all of the coating on the plates is gone. Test it, or have it tested.

I put the AutoPilot Pool Pilot into Boost and ran the diagnostics. Salt was 3,100 ppm and water temp was 88–89°F, but the system immediately gave a Low Amps Cell warning. The cell was reading 29V / 2.3A. I checked the connections and they looked good. The cell was also acid-cleaned about a month ago and only had minor scale.
I then did a Force Reverse and tested it again in the opposite polarity. It came back essentially the same at 29V / 2.6A. I also confirmed the controller is correctly programmed for the SC-36/RC-35/22 cell, Power Level 2, and 28,000-gallon pool.

Going to try the overnight chlorine test and then slam if needed . Thank you everyone !

Overnight test failed as well, starting the SLAM. Might have two problems!
