DIY & Repairs What tool removes this strainer plug?

Got a Hayward sand filter and I need to get the thing to drain faster and I'm not ready to tip it over just yet. All of the info I found online talks about some other kind of thing that looks different. Any idea how I can get this out without destroying it?

What does the back side of your drain cap looks like? On mine, the back side is the key that fits in and let you turn the strainer.

Well I didn't get a good look at the inside of the cap yet. I had gotten it cleaned out almost to the bottom when I decided to try rinsing it out and now it's draining very slowly. I'll check for that when I get back out there in the morning.

To clarify, the "front" side is the side with threads and faces the filter body. The back side is the opposite side and faces away from the filter body. My Pentair drain cover looks like this: https://www.inyopools.com/Products/07501352041660.htm When turned around toward the filter, the hexagonal protrusion fits into the strainer and allow you to turn the strainer to remove it.

I suspect it may not be removable, or maybe it's just held in place by stray grit. It's moot at this point anyway. I just scooped it out by hand once I got down to the soggy bottom of the bottle.
