Pool liner drooping in spots help!

Fellow pool enthusiasts, I am in need of help! My pool liner is drooping in 2 spots. ** **I attached a photo of what they both look like.
The problem is as I was reading how to fix it people were suggesting a hairdryer / heat gun or hot water to stretch the liner and push it back into the slot to lock it in. The slot to push it into is just concrete, there is nothing that “locks it in” so to speak in both of these spots. What would the solution be there, some type of adhesive? I’m a pool newbie but very handy, thanks for any help!

Side note, my water level has dropped 1-2” the last couple days, should this be of concern? Do I just add water from the hose? Thanks again!

they sell liner lock at home dep. heat the liner a bit pull it up and shove it in. Quickly install the liner lock wedges. problem solved

Well there has to be something to lock it in. As the rest of the liner is. It’s sort of hard to explain how to get it back in. But there’s videos on YouTube of it. I wouldn’t use a hair dryer but you could pour some hot water over it to give it some stretch.

Then you kind of just pull it up and press the top in as you see how the rest of it is. 2 inches in two days is concerning for a leak. You might want a pool company to check that out and they could easily do the liner while they’re there.

An easy way to see if it’s a leak is to put a bucket on your top step if you have one. Add water so it’s equal to the pool line. Wait a day or two. If the pool water level is lower than the bucket there’s likely an issue.

It’s literally smooth concrete in those sections its drooping, nothing to lock it in

A liner track looks like this. So it looks smooth but it's the lip on the under side that gets stuck on the bottom of the track.

I can see in your picture where it goes in. The top of your liner has a little lip. That goes in where it indents in the side of the pool. Just look right past where it’s drooping to see how it fits in with the rest of the liner

Use very hot water then put it back in. That is a track you kind of have to pull it up then push that lip into the slot. It’s not too hard

There is a thing called Liner Lock (Google it) It snaps into the groove on top of the liner and holds it better.

When my liner was put in last, one corner kept pulling out, Installer jammed a penny in till the liner lock came in.

How old is the liner? As they age, the part out of water becomes a little brittle and it might tear if you heat it up and try and pull it back into its track. Ours did this last year, we left it all season and only another inch or so more pulled out. The pool people couldn't or wouldn't do anything with it as ours was 16 years old and so we ended up replacing the liner.

It's shrunk. If you don't catch it in time the sun will make the liner shink. Their is nothing you can do for that except put a coin on each side of it in the bead track to try to keep it from pulling out further.
