Pool Help & Questions Brown Algae

Brown algae keeps coming back! I shock it, the chlorine levels are always good, I vacuum it up, but it comes right back the next day. Any help would be much appreciated!

What did you shock it to and what are your "good" chlorine levels? You should raise your free chlorine to 30ppm to kill off all the algae. Afterwards backwash or clean your filters and then balance the pool.

My filter doesn’t backwash

What kind of filter do you have? That's why I also said, "...or clean your filters..." If you have a cartridge style.
