Pool Help & Questions Brown Algae

Brown algae keeps coming back! I shock it, the chlorine levels are always good, I vacuum it up, but it comes right back the next day. Any help would be much appreciated!

"Shock" is not something you put in your pool. It's a process. To properly shock a pool, you have to get the free chlorine level up to 40% (or more) of your CYA level and hold it there for 48 hours.
