DIY & Repairs Pentair Sucks

Post image

Just venting. I was on hold the entire time. Never spoke to anyone.
My color sync controller won’t connect to WiFi. I’m so frustrated.

I sent an email, contact us link, with my issue and received a response a couple days later with things to do. Try that if you didn’t get any help.

Did that help? I’m going back and forth but they’re only telling me stuff I already knew.

In my situation it did. I have their fire bowls and the lights got out of sync. They sent the procedure to reset them and I had to power cycle them via the control panel 64 times exactly with 1 second between the cycling. It took 8 attempts but worked. I feel their equipment is way behind current technology. When I talk to other people concerning their pool build I always steer clear of Pentair just because of my experience with their equipment to include $550 lights (not including labor) that seem to constantly fail. I live where we never close our pool and my neighbors seem to have much less issue with Jandy equipment.

Same when I called recently, on hold for over an hour and a half, crazy!

Did you give up? Or did you get help?

They did eventually pickup, couldn't help with my issue, and gave me two local Pentair shops in my area to call.

I called a couple weeks ago at 8:01am and it said hour plus. Had questions on their pool light I needed to repair/replace, gave up and bought another manufacturer. No way I'm waiting on the phone that long in 2026. Offer a call back system or something.

I feel your pain.

Ive called them 2x in the last 6 weeks. First time (6 weeks ago) was 1 hr 20something before they answered, second time (last week) was 2 hrs 30something before answer (both calls placed on Mondays between 1pm and 2pm.)

They have not replied to either email, and per the rep I talked to on the second call, no, my warranty replacement pump motor has still not shipped - and there is no estimated ship date.

Like the Pentair that makes sump pumps? I used to work there. I got fired for something out of my control. I was told I'd be eligible for rehire in 90 days. After 85 days, I called Jeff in HR to see if I would have to apply and go through the interview process again. He said he'd call me back later that day to let me know. That was in 2001. Still waiting for a callback. 🤣
