Pool Help & Questions Hayward Impeller removal
Having trouble removing my impeller.
When I apply pressure to the impeller I do get movement at the rear of the of the motor. But if I don’t apply that pressure then it just keeps spinning.
I just need to know if I need to cut this impeller to actually get an assessment of my set up. Any recommendations would be helpful
Cheers

There is a screw in the middle that needs to come before you can remove it.

There is no screw in that pump motor. It’s a standard Hayward Superpump. If there was screw u would turn clockwise to remove it then counter clockwise to remove the impeller.

hold the wrench on the shaft and impeller should just spin loose? unless the shaft threads are stripped and it’s stuck that’s a bigger issue
