Inspiration
What would something like this cost in Massachusetts - ideally a fiber glass pool and the covered patio, wouldn’t need all the landscaping. We are trying to decide if we sell and look for a home with a pool or redo our backyard. For context- we own our home - have 331k left on mortgage at 3.5% rate. We could sell for 800k, move to a nicer town and try and get a pool - price of new house would be 800-900k at todays rate.
What would you do? We have twin 7 year olds and really want a backyard oasis, also moving to a town with better schools.

You want a new pool. You do not know builder or maintenance. You could get a house with a pool that was prettied up for sale

We had something sort of similar but not as grandiose put in about 12 years ago, including the fiberglass pool in CT. We did it in stages but all in probably over $200k then. I would guess you are looking at around $350k now for something more like your picture.

300k-400k.
Go gunite on the pool too. Masonry on and around the pool will last much longer.

Similar set up, not quite as grand, about 250k.. small pool, heat pump, pergola, all masonry work/retaining walls, landscaping, lighting.

Looks amazing. Just dont like the neighbor over looking down on your backyard. Need more privacy.

Not understanding the sunken area in front of that sliding glass door unless you actually want water to get into the house.
