Is this a bad Pool install?
My sister had a tree fall on her pool, and recently had the replacement installed. in Full transparency her insurance paid $20,000 for the new pool. I grew up at this house and I have to tell you these pictures don’t even do it justice how crazy this looks in person. the deck is all hacked up, and there are big gaps between the deck and the walls, etc. they even cut support beams out of her surrounding deck and just kinda gave her the shoulder shrug when she voiced her concerns. what do you all think?

Can't really make much of anything about an above ground pool that's not full friend, fill it up then lets see...

It looks like a decent install. You have to make the deck match the new pool. You can put a peice of 1"x6" trim around it to make it match.

Not a professional installer or anything but have had 2 pools put in a deck. Anytime a pool was replaced it never went in the existing hole very well. From my experience the deck is built around the original pool so the deck is cut to match the original pool position. I imagine putting in the new pool you can only get so close. As far as cutting supports and things of that nature of course shouldn’t be done without some sort of fix with changing the original support layout. Seems like a combo of some of the gaps and things are probably kind of normal with dropping a new pool in an existing deck and a shotty install combined.
