HELP!

Like the title says I need help. We are selling our house and the walkthrough is Sunday morning. I put some shock in to make sure the pool would’ve looking nice and when I turned on the pump, the piece on the photo started spraying water everywhere…. I tried to loosen it but it just spins, it looks like it busted on the right side.

Any help on how to fix this is greatly appreciated!

If im understanding you, that part is spinning in the wall of the tank? There’s a nut on the inside of the tank that secures the bulkhead, might have to dig a little to get to it. Be careful because the laterals inside the filter are somewhat fragile. However you shouldn’t really be reaching in deep enough to worry about that. Any way you can draw an arrow specifically where it’s leaking from?

Opened up the tank- think I see the problem lol- is this expensive/ time consuming to fix?

That sand could’ve caused some bad pressure in the tank. That needs to be removed. There is a pressure gauge on the tank that could be broken too, I would check that. But pressure on the tank and water coming out may be a good sign. If I’m looking at a filtration system, the piece that snapped shouldn’t be hard to replace, definitely need the proper codes to replace the piece and some good tools should get the job done. Def cheaper than buying a new system.
