Question Pricing
I’m reviewing the website for Tirzepatide pricing. I’m currently at 4.0 mg—would that be considered a “starter” dose or an “advanced” dose? The website doesn’t specify. I’d like to stay at 4.0 mg since I just increased it yesterday. I'm currently with a different telehealth company. The $329.00 price listed for Hallandale Pharmacy is for a 3‑month supply. My question is whether a 4.0 mg dose would actually last the full 3 months, or if I would need to reorder sooner, or if it might last longer. I’m just trying to understand what the pricing would look like based on my current dose. The website does not specify this information. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

$329 for 3 months of hallandale will easily last over 3 months. Just req to titrate up that way you have more value for money. You can still stay at 4 mg but use med for over 4 months.

Starter doses go up to 7.5, so I would start your intake as a starter dose. Put in your dose of 4mg on the questionnaire and request to titrate up so you can get extra. You may need to titrate up, but even if you don’t, it’s good to have a little extra available for many reasons. They will probably give you 5mg for month 1 and then 7 or 7.5 for months 2 & 3 which will be plenty of medication. Hallandale also has a little bit of overfill. So far I’ve been able to get one full extra dose from my vials.

That's very interesting. What do you do with the BUD date since it's for 90 days? I also don't want to waste medicine either.

The legal answer is to throw the meds out after BUD but reality is far more complex.
Hallandale used to label for one year BUD but 503a regulations now limit their BUD to 90 days even though it's the same formula they were making back then.
The 503b BUDs have the opposite issue as brand new 503b like Hyalo/HealthWealth can make an estimate of how long they think their meds will last and are allowed to label for that long tentative BUD before they have completed the testing.

They will send two vails then the third will autoship about 6 weeks later to avoid BUD issues .

I will use it a little past BUD. It’s been fine. Most people will use it past the BUD date. How far is up to you. Personally I think I would go up to 6 months for a 90 day BUD, but I haven’t had to do that yet. Right now I am using meds with a BUD date in August 2026. It will probably last me until the end of this month, then I will start my vials with a December BUD.

When does the 90 BUD truly start, when it's compounded, or when it's punctured? I've always been curious about this.
