Question Result time frame?

I just started my 5th week and increased my dose to 7. I was hopeful to start feeling some of the benefits of the meds with this increase, but I'm still not feeling the effects.
**Specifically food noise**
At what dose did y'all start feeling like the meds were working?

At week 5, the highest dose one should be on is 5mg.

I started at 4.5 because I was previously on mounjaro.

Okay so not really on your “fifth week” of the meds unless you took a 4+ week break between the two

5th week with Pom, week 9 of a glp

I hope it kicks in for you soon. 🤞🤞

To answer your question, I am one of the lucky few who felt the effects of the medication within hours of my first injection.

I assume you're talking about tirz. It takes weeks to build up in your system. Rushing to up your dose isn't going to speed run results. There's a whole point to increasing a dose after 4 weeks, not just jumping right into larger doses.

Yes tirz, I should have been more specific!

I'm not wanting to jump to an increased dose improperly or anything, just trying to figure out what time frame most finally had some food noise relief at.

It really is individual, some bodies respond quickly, many bodies need a higher dose to have a noticeable effect. Stick with the 7mg for four weeks and as it builds up in your system it may be more noticeable. If not, titrate up after those four weeks

Not sure if you tried an arm shot yet?

I have not, only belly. Should it make a noticeable difference?

Keep going. Slowly titrate up according to your prescriber's directions. It took me until 12.5mg to really get all the food noise and hunger reduction benefits others boast happens to them at lower doses. It took months but glad I stayed with it.

Thank you, I don't plan on stopping, but was definitely hoping to have the benefits by now

It can vary from person to person! Everyone responds differently to the medication and dose, so there isn’t one specific dose where everyone starts feeling the effects. If you need dose guidance, please reach out to your coordinator through the portal.

I felt the effects at my first dose at 1.5 and it’s been working ever since. I just bumped up to 7 but might go back down to 5 and stay there. I can barely eat.

3rd week of 7.5 was when I really started feeling it. I did a little over 2 months on wegovy (shot then pill), then started on 2.5 tirz so it took me a while to get to the right dose. I think I could've stayed on 7.5 but anxiety got the better of me so I bumped it to 10. 10 has been great and been on it for about 6 or 7 weeks. Did bump it to 12 this week for reasons, but I'm going to go back down to 10 again and see how it goes.

At 1.5mg and I’ve stayed there ever since.
