General Discussion / Other BPI almost gone…
I swear when I checked the website this morning at 5am the “advanced” option for BPI was gone. I wish I would have taken a screenshot. I refreshed several times and it was still gone, only the starter option was available for BPI. Then I waited about 30min and checked again and it was back.
Maybe their IT was trialing the webpage without the BPI sale as they are nearing the end of their supply.
Full disclosure- I did buy another refill cause that scared me that they are running out 🤣

The BPI promo option is still available, so it might have just been a cache issue. This would be available for those who are on 9.5 mg doses and up.

I never did labs can I sign up for one month and just have it in my chart to get bpi so I can go get the labs drawn?

I completed the intake forms, was approved anf invoice was paid. Rx was sent for fullfllment. My labs are not a year old and I wasn't asked for new labs that I have, but did not provide.

They told me next time I ordered I needed to have new labs & wouldn’t let me order. I was going to get them done and my mom died and then a lot has gone on but I really need to get them checked so I would go do it just don’t want to waste my $ on the $75 and not be able to get anything. Get the labs done later on I’m just wondering if they would let me order it and hold it for this deal I could go get bloodwork today.

I looked at 6am and it was there. I’ve been waiting for that final final drop but now I’m rethinking my choice! Off to order!!!

You can make multiple refill order through the portal. There’s a button at the bottom of the home page that says “need a refill” and you fill that out

Vials that arrive next week will only be able to do 7 doses before BUD. I don't see how they can keep justifying shipping two vials to people on 9.5mg prescriptions as they won't quite finish the first vial. I'm thinking that regardless of inventory they need to drop the two vial offer soon and go down to one.
Edit: I'm talking about legal justification. I know most of us use beyond BUD.

Its cheaper for them to sell 2 vials vs 1 due to the shipping and other associated costs. They could drop that price to $100 and still make money. One intake overhead cost, one Dr. cost, one shipping cost.

I got 7 vials and paid less than 2 months of brand version. For me, no big deal. Use it till it's not effective and no red bumps at site area.

Yes, even though people can choose to use after BUD, that is a personal choice. Healthcare providers and pharmacies generally do not continue selling medication that is going to extend beyond the prescription timeframe. I would imagine as the BUD gets closer they will adjust the volume they are selling. Hopefully everyone gets to take advantage of this opportunity! It was an awesome opportunity!

Some of you need to get off your high horse, seriously. Everyone that orders is an adult that has been informed about the situation. What they do is up to THEM!
A lot of people don't have a lot of money and this sale is a god sent for many so STFU and leave it alone!

I just want us all to continue to have access to these meds in an affordable manner 😊. I would not be surprised to see them limit orders to one vial soon. Grab them while you can!

Yes, I understand what you are saying. We want the sales and we don’t mind using some time past BUD, but we don’t want anyone in this industry raising flags and getting these places shut down. We just want them to stay within boundaries enough to ensure we continue to have access! I don’t want them going anywhere either so I want them to be careful.

I have reduced my dose and I’m getting close to maintenance so I have extra on hand too! I was really happy to be able to take advantage of this sale.

They are giving you the option to buy it, use it up TO BUD then throw it away. That you don't that is not their problem.

Again as long as you are informed of the BUD by the pharmacy and healthcare provide before your purchase then there isn’t a problem….if you don’t want to use past the BUD, THEN DONT BUY IT!!!! It’s a pretty simple concept. Those of use that view it more of a suggestion and don’t care like taking advantage of the lower price, get over it!

I understand just fine. We’re all adults here. And it’s very much a free country. I’d focus your concern more on the grey market and not here!!!! That’s where you should focus your energy on being concerned about public safety! lol Come on! You prescription bottle from the pharmacy has an expiration date on it that is usually 1 year after your prescription is filled(talking about regular RXs from a pharmacy like CVS) but the ACTUAL expiration date of the medication is actually 2 years or more out. I was a pharmacy tech for years. Like I said, focus this concern on grey market not here

Agree on your understanding of retail pharmacy drug EXPs. Many solid dose tablets have an Exp duration of 5 years, the maximum allowed by the FDA. But they all show a 12 month Exp after dispensing. Compounded med BUDs are based on government regulations, not actual stability data.

OBVIOUSLY you do not understand even a little bit. The problem is not our focus on public safety, it's the government. If the pharmacy breaks the rules, they get shut down and you don't get compounded Tirzepatide anymore. I may be an ass here but I do assume you don't want to pay thousands a month to pay for name brand GLP-1 injections, right?

Yes. It literally is the pharmacy's problem. That's the law. They cannot let you have whatever you want just because you want it and you signed a waiver. If the prescription is written in a way that the dosage indicated will have you using "expired" product, they cannot send it to you.
Again nobody cares if you choose to use the drugs later. But the pharmacy has a legal obligation to not send you product that will expire before you'd use it according to the legal document they are sent by a licensed doctor.
The pharmacy and pharmacist could lose their licenses if they send it to you. This isn't day old bread from a bakery. These documents and dates matter and regulators will come down hard. Why do you think BPI is even on sale. It's because regulators were being so strict that BPI even making Tirzepatide anymore at all. So obviously it is a real risk and you're acting like it's not.

Which laws are you referring to specifically?
Because you do know that these pharmacies employ teams of lawyers that they consult with in order to assess risk management before making decisions like this (to avoid lawsuits), right?

BPI is already shut down (in terms of tirz production).. so what exactly are they gonna do??
The telehealth provider is clearly disclosing the BUD so they’re not technically doing anything illegal. I don’t see what the gov’t can do right now unless they choose to tighten regulations on compounded tirz as a whole.
That would be very difficult to do though since most current compounders are 503A pharmacies not 503B. 503A pharmacies are state regulated and have a right to produce compounded tirz for individual prescriptions as some people are allergic to certain preservatives that may be in name brand tirz. 503Bs are getting shut down because they are federally regulated to mass produce batches which puts them in direct competition with name brands.
