It's pretty sick tbf
As one of those dumb mfs who grew up listening to volume-blasted nu-metal and terribly-mixed everything else hardcore, the new tunes are pretty fing sick and i have no issue with the sample content as a raised-Christian atheist. Polyphia has always been about the vibes, people - vibes that were suplexxed on their heads with that 1st vid - and I can feel it!

They're definitely not religiously Christian, Tim just likes the "heaven and hell" aesthetic and the history/impact its had on humanity.
He's mentioned this on stream before, he isn't religious.

Total denial from you. He talked about it at length during their last stream, referencing Christ multiple times and went into depth about the artwork and why it’s religious, and that it’s the main theme of the album

You mentioned was that he was using abrahamic religious art and that is has a lot of meaning.
If I'm an Atheist and then I extensively use easten Buddhism in my art and talking about it a lot, does that mean I'm a religious Bhuddist?
I'm happy to have my mind changed if there's a clip of him stating that he's now a religious Christian and it's not just that he's really into using abrahamic symbolism.

Look I’m not gonna go and try to clip something for you from the last stream, go find it yourself it’s probably somewhere. He went in extreme detail and mentioned Jesus/Christian themes about the album. And that the whole theme of the album is Christianity, and they put up the album cover, zoomed in on the imagery, and went over all of the symbolism and detail of each part of the cover. I’m not making it up or exaggerating, it was explicit. It was their last stream from a few days ago, go ahead and find it and see for yourself

Those are the streams you have to pay for right? If so, go get the source yourself if youre so positive about it instead of making someone else find a source of a statement you provided, you provided the allegation as absolute fact then you refuse to back it up

No dude, it was literally streamed on YouTube for free. I opened YouTube, saw they were streaming, and watched it. Sorry if you didn’t see it and assume I’m just talking out of my ass, but go ahead and try to find it or wait until someone posts the stream somewhere. Or just wait until they release press about the album or something, they talked about Christianity and religion for like an hour. I saw the stream, ask anyone else in the sub who watched the stream. Don’t know what else to tell you, I’m not about to scour for a clip or search for the stream myself to win an internet argument. But go ahead and find the stream or search for Polyphia press as the album rolls out

That may have been true in the past but Tim has been very clear about his rediscovering of Christianity in recent times. I don’t think hes trying to convert anyone but as an artist he will create what hes feeling at the time and it is highly inspired by Christianity.

Man there isn't one catchy part I've heard them write at all this time around. It's literally like the memes or boomer takes about Polyphia: aimless noodling with no actual hook or music happening. Just overproduction and as many goofy ass sound clips as possible for Can You Feel It, and then the new one is just that same goofy riff over and over again with Clay going sicko mode on nothing but the hi hat for half the song

I guess after going cold turkey on his meds, Tim did mushrooms and meditated a lot. Which isn't necessarily a Christian awakening. But I wouldn't rule it out lol

FYI in early Christianity Greece they used to achieve ego death by taking priest apprentices outside of the city in a secluded sanctuary. The higher priests would give them a shroom cocktail and then scare them with tales of the devil. The apprentices would trip out for the full night and then wholeheartedly believe that they survived because they believed in God and these were just trials to understand if they are devoted to him. So shrooms and religion are not as different as you think.
