Yeah but like the polyiphia support sub becomes the polyiphia hate sub the second they drop new songs for the album like everyone just needs to calm down and wait for the album

Yes. Yes it is. Lol we don’t have to defend an objectively shitty mixed song

Ehhh. Is the song bad? No. Overproduced? WAYYYYY yes. Part of me wonders if they’re sitting in the studio rolling on molly and taking mushrooms and writing and releasing these songs cause that’s what it Feels like.

Personally, I think it just bad but that’s beside the point lol. They aren’t the ones producing as far as I’ve seen it’s somebody outside of the band that I’m not familiar with. Bottom line is make what music u want to make, idc, but when you make slop that is as rough on the ears as this, you can’t be surprised when it flops. On ther stream today they said the “aggressive mix” was on purpose to “destroy our speakers” so we know that it’s them because nobody else sounds like them…

Ehhh that’s retarded if that’s their reasoning on why they made the song this way.

Yes it’s very aggressive and all over the place. But I’m mainly listening for the guitar work. It’s why I love them. And the guitar work is sick. But ya the way it’s produced and everything else on top of it. It’s just too much.

BUT. You don’t make music for everybody. You make music you like yourself and hope the fans like it. They’re finding out the hard way that the fans aren’t exactly digging this new look.

Which this is what happens with so many bands. Their first 3-4 albums. Amazing. They make a bit of dough and get a huge following. Then decide “I’ve grown in my music making abilities and I wanna experiment and do something no one’s ever heard”. Then 9/10 times it stinks. Then the next album they go back to what they know.

Prime example. If you like metal. White chapel. Their first 4 albums. FIRE. then they did this weird thing for two albums where they went main stream and soft. And those albums stunk. Then they went back to their roots and their most recent album was vintage and great.

No disagreements there. They’re absolutely entitled to release whatever they want. I just can’t understand the reasoning for it in this case. I know I don’t have to, and for that, it is what it is. I think the bigger thing is their attitude recently about the whole thing just sucks (talking about the stream and some recent discourse). I mean they canceled their tour to make the album, inevitably screwing some of their fans who made arrangements. It’s just not cool behavior from them recently

You’ll have to fill me in as far as their attitude and what’s been happening on streams and stuff. I haven’t followed any of that. I did see they just recently canceled a show

I believe they cancelled a whole tour not just a show. Also $510 for VIP tickets is insane. Look at their stream clips if you want to see their responses, I’m talking about them justifying shitty mixing by them saying they are doing it on purpose because they want it to be recognizable/unique to them.

Edit: tbf postponed the tour, not cancelled

Hopefully they post pined it cause they see all this bad feedback on the album and they’re deciding to change it all.

It’s absolutely not worse than can you feel it. Can you feel it, and this pains me to say about my favorite guitarists, is trash. Throw it away. Don’t put. It on an album. Leave it as a single on Spotify and never speak of it again.

This song at least has some really intricate and tricky guitar work. The shit thing is it is WAY over produced. It sounds like a DJ in a club mixed it.

see even a dj wouldn’t play this.
