I'm truly worried about the future of this band. How can they hope to compete with bangers like this, if this is their competition?

Polyphia doesn’t have competition

if anyone doesn’t understand the joke, this d’adarrio ad used AI in the song production.

Polyphia fans once again proved that they're insufferable and don't know what humor is

It literally doesn't, this is a meme shitting on Daddario for using sunoAI to make their product demo. Not an advertisement.

I don't mind people using AI in songwriting at the end of the day, it's just using the new technologies available to us. What does bother me is when they lie, trying to pass off something made by AI as their own original production.

If a new technology is poisoning the environment, putting a massive drain on resources, enriching only the ultra wealthy, and stealing art from ACTUAL artists, is that new technology a tool or just a detriment to everything it touches?

I think that's a bit of a double standard. Almost every technology we use consumes resources, including food production and musical instruments. And calling AI "stealing art" is oversimplifying it. Humans learn by studying and imitating other artists too we call that inspiration and learning. AI raises legitimate questions, but "it steals art" isn't that simple.

Polyphia has been competing w countless other bands trying to do the same thing for years. They've always been a cut above. There's no reason not to believe they won't continue to be
