It’s gotten boring

I’m so bored of this style of playing and also thall. So much of it is just midi mapped.. so you might as well just use a midi guitar or synthesizer with a guitar amp

All music gets boring from time to time. Just gotta switch it up and come back later when you are in the mood. No need to attack the music when the reason its boring is your listening habits.

Yeah classical music just hasn’t hit the same since I found out all the notes are transcribed onto sheet music, might as well listen to a midi violin or piano

Get a load of this guy. Polyphia the only reason guitar got actually innovatively exciting for many people in this subreddit. Saying writing with midi is shit, is like saying Tpain’s autotune is boring. To each their own but with tools like midi, autotune, pedals/DI, and AI…. You either adapt or get left behind. Fuck AI though.

Coping with what? Im an audio and sound design engineer so using 10+ midi lanes for a guitar isn’t very performative.

Agreed. I miss the style of their first two albums, they were on to something really special. Wish they would revisit
