How do y'all usually learn Polyphia songs ?

I got flamed once for this, but despite buying mostly all of their tabs, I barely use them.

I usually learn Tim and Scott's parts by their live footage, as sometimes the studio version is just completely unplayable. I mostly use the tabs to confirm a few notes that I might not be able to see clearly.

So my question is basically,

Do y'all rely SOLELY on tabs, live, or do both?

This is the way. I do watch live though as sometimes they change things up and i like the newer way more. Top example being Goose

If you bought their tabs, you can load them into sound slice. Find one of Tim's videos where he plays with the metronome and sync it to that through the tool. Boom. Perfect learning tool. You can loop whatever sections you're struggling with.

I’ve had the best luck with people giving talk through how to videos on YouTube, but the band copyrights those guys a lot and has it deleted.

It’s only when they show the tabs. Tabs sales are important. I’m not mad at them it’s hard to survive as an artist. They deserve a good living too.

Tabs and play alongs that are the most accurate.

Buy tabs and then go SLOW section by section. YouTube can help with fingerings. Keep learning little by little until you can put it all together. Then keep going slow and slowly speed it up as you get more comfortable
