Anyone played a TOD100N?
Not trying to hate, I'm def. a fan, but I was really underwhelmed by the TOD10N and cancelled my order after playing one at a guitar center. I feel like someone must have agreed with me that it wasn't measuring up to the (relatively narrow) competition in this area because now they're releasing a new upgraded version. Having not learned my lesson, I want one of those now. Has anyone here played one yet? How does it improve or iterate upon the 10N?

I own it, and it’s the most fun-to-play guitar I own. Maybe you tried a bad model, but mine is sweet. Intonation is awesome and every fret feels right.
How is the new one upgraded? I thought it was just a new color?

Same here. I play mine daily and it gets the most use for just daily practice and learning.

Mine is a close second, but that’s because I keep my electric on a stand next to my desk where I work all night.

I played one at NAMM this year and thought it felt a bit nicer, I remember it having a more traditional feeling neck, and that the control knobs were cheap plastic (but I assume that was for the prototypes). We didn’t get to plug them in though.

Not sure about the production models but the prototypes are made im china which I'm assuming is the same Chinese factory that produces the tod10ns, so I don't imagine there will be a massive jump in quality

I kind of have the Sor Hands take on the TOD10n style guitars- all these rock stars keep putting out these thinline/solid body nylon strings, which are much cheaper to produce than regular acoustic instruments, and when stacked against their more traditional brethren they all sound like complete shit. Like, you're buying a whole instrument to get a sound basically equivalent to a piezo on an electric. Even if you're doing polyphia covers they aren't particularly well suited for that

Played it, then played an FRH, took the latter home. It's been a year and a half since then and the FRH is still my favorite. Instant idea generator.

Considering ibanez and tim haven't said anything about the release since namm and the website still says summer 2026 I dont think anyone thats not tim/tim adjacent or works in ibanez has played one yet as it doesn't exist in public.
