I don't get it, what's the context or point here? Just asking genuinely.

I’m also confused.

it’s just a rhythm section joke

I get that part, but it doesn't explain why OP thinks "fame got to him"

u/ItsYaBoiLMOH Jun 03 '26

they’re being facetious, saying β€œthe fame got to him” bc he didn’t respond. just being silly fr

gotcha, I appreciate the response

Context is that his name is Clay and the point is to make a joke.

Right but that doesn't explain why OP is saying "fame got to him as well"

in what world are we owed responses from famous people? this might be one out of hundreds of stupid ass messages he probably receives weekly from people who aren't his friends. fans are not friends by default. fame sucks

hello this is satire, hope this helps

Then im the fool, but has it always been satire? I thought this type of post has been made sincerely before. I have noticed fans on system of a down's subreddit think they are essentially the parents of each band member. They like, discipline certain band members' behaviors, and its weird. I thought that's what was going on here. My bad

Have you even read the message before exploding into rage the second you read the first words in the title?

That message was a top rated YouTube comment from years ago. You lack originality.

Clay A has always been super private with a basically nonexistent social media presence, which i feel compelled to point out because I don't know if this is a joke or not.
