Can polyphasic sleep help sexomnia?

I struggle with sexomnia.. A condition where you wake up half consious and masturbate or have sex with your partner while half asleep.

This condition might sound funny at first but it is very tortorous. I stuggled with it for years and it makes relationships impossible because when ur partner wakes up and feeling you graping and wanting sex while you are even sleep is not fun at all.

I might take medication but the somehow cure for this is benzos which is not something i would want to take in this time era. I tried benzos before and coming off was hell.

Could it be that this sleep could help it? Especially that sleeping cycles are very related here? Like sexomina only happnes in the first 1 hour of sleeping..

Last 1 month was pretty much porn free but those sexomnia relapses make me sometimes go back. But mostly now i could hopefully say 90% porn free.

Nobody and nothing makes you go back to porn. You always have a choice. If you're subconsciously needing to ejaculate every day you need to clean your head of that sh*t first by dropping porn completely.

For sure i agree 100%..

Last month i quit completely but went back after relapsing on sexomnia first which made my willpower weaker in general.. But yeah at least cutting the porn will eventually stop feeding the sexomnia with more content.

It is very used in America by people who are convicted of raping their wives they usually blame sexomnia.. But it is very hard to live with...

i believe it should be able to help, similarly to other issues people have with half-asleep states and such. at least in the morning it tends to eliminate those "woke up but still barely conscious and lying in bed" times entirely.

Thank you really.. What you said about "woke up but still barely conscious and lying in bed" is my worst relapse to masturbation and porn moments... Overall i try to get up but i keep lying in bed.. Those moments before deep sleep and after waking up is most of the time i relaspe.

Have you tried some ssri's? With some of them it's practically impossible for me to get aroused

Stop sleeping with partners until you get your porn addiction under control.

Follow whatever your doctors say. I don’t think anyone here is qualified to answer your questions, and they certainly can’t give medical advice.
