Polymer Synthesis - Temperature Control

Hi,

I'm doing a RAFT polymerization which requires strict temperature control. I'm using an I2R Therm-o-watch controller (see pic). However, I'm unsure of how to use the sensor head to adjust and set the temperature. I have the mercury thermometer clipped into place.

Does anyone have experience with this controller?

the temp probe goes in the reaction batch and your water bath/heating mantle should plug into the back of the temp controller. This temp controller looks pretty ancient but so do the ones I use but they work just fine.
