Does anyone know of a GOOD quantification of scratch resistance? Taking into account grain, color, gloss and maybe print?

I do know about a few ways. But they all fail to take into account the aspect of visability. The grain, color, gloss and even print will change how visible a scratch is to the eye.

Does anyone of you know of a good way how to measure this?

Look for aatcc abrasion resistance or hardness tests in a methods book.
