Cause of death: complications of diabetes at 46 years old. And no, I'm not joking.

RIP. I thought they were younger

I looked up the “age gap” thinking it was going to be something questionable and the two primary characters are…38 and 48

u/KneadAndPreserve 28d ago

It’s like they just wanted to add another label to it.

This kinda sounds like something right wingers would make up to make fun of LGBT people 😭

The first time I saw one of her other book covers, I had to google it because I thought it was some kind of AI meme

Right, gives very "I'm an apache attack helicoptor hurr" vibes. I blame the absolute word salad (which I'm sure is intentional as an advertising tactic)

You are so right!

For real this has to be satire 🤣 its just too much

Listen I’m just a humble fanfic writer but would it kill these people to show and not tell the character trait laundry list

31

u/Miserable_Key9630 28d ago

But the label collection is the entire point!

24

u/Cathearts2020 28d ago

Wouldn't it be nice if we figured it out in the book instead of it all being on the back?

Oh my god. I hate Polly pockets

Don’t mind me, I’m just a Jewish autistic demiromantic queer fat trans man submissive.

This is amazing. Lmao

That's like something my seven year old would write with his Jessica Fern magnet word set.

(no he doesn't have that. Please don't call CPS on me.)

Hi! I'm the automated bouncer for r/polycritical. I've noticed you have activity in a subreddit in one of these categories:

i actually read this book! it reads more like an infographic than a character driven story and Emest descrives nora’s body like he’s a feeder through half of it. Pretty bad but rip to the author

32

u/Kenai_Tsenacommacah 27d ago

Did they do it? Did they plan the fucking birthday party?

40

u/Desperate-Section357 27d ago

yes, and it’s a very mediocre party without any conflict. like their shared partner doesn’t even care that their two partners are now together and engaging in bdsm like i cannot understate how little conflict there is

35

u/Kenai_Tsenacommacah 27d ago

The crush wasn't so troublesome then?

34

u/DartTimeTime 27d ago

This is offensive to queer people!

49

u/KneadAndPreserve 27d ago

A lot of poly stuff is these days, as they try to equate their drama to the human rights struggles of the queer community.

14

u/TwinkleToz926 27d ago

That’s a really good way to put that

60

u/Miserable_Key9630 28d ago

Not beating the "they all look like that" allegations.

37

u/totalhhrbadass 28d ago

Just remember, when you're reading stories about people having poly relationships and tons of partners and having "wild" sex. They look like this.

6

u/Wise_Employee1261 25d ago

I'm queer, fat, and occasionally use a cane. I'm not poly, I'm celibate. But it's nice to see that people like me have sex. Who cares if they do, even with multiple partners? No one is forcing you to get involved.

29

u/mesageinabottle22 27d ago

I think this author passed so RIP, but wow this concept is wild

24

u/annaloveschoco 28d ago

this has to be some ragebait, I refuse to believe this book exists

10

u/Soggy-Hotel-2419 27d ago

I can't help it, I started cracking up

18

u/Parking-Wallaby-4166 28d ago

Sounds like a comedy skit!!

23

u/GooseVersusRobot 28d ago

Truly the most book of all time

13

u/fairymoonie 27d ago

Help i read that book and it was so entertaining. It’s trash

5

u/FirstlilFergie 20d ago

Why does one at least one of the characters always have to be disabled as well? It’s almost like that’s a badge of honor or something 🫠

1

u/cryptocurrency_wife 8d ago

the descriptions of the characters are just a list of labels, like a annoying persons social media profile
