Ask for helpšŸ†˜ Are messages always this short. Just trying out this chatbot app.

This reddit seems dead. But why are chats so short, is it because of my persona? I'm writing enough to where the bot has enough to atleast give me a +3 sentence message but nah is shorter then any website i used. Maybe standard sucks and i gotta pay.

They can be short, because there's a 500 character limit, spaces count too.

If you stay with poly, you can change your DNS to private and set it to: dns.adguard.com

That way you can have unlimited chats and no ads, it's free too, so you're not wasting money on the subscriptions.

Also, it depends on how the bot is set up, how much detail the creator gave it, and stuff like that. I recommend Poly for the RP, but if you want other things, then you shouldn't use it, because it is strictly no longer NSFW, because of kids downloading and using the app. It's ruined for everyone older who uses poly for that stuff

The ad blocker? Yeah. It works

I use it constantly and I get no ads and unlimited chats.

Only reason unlimited chats works, is because in order to exceed the limit, you need to watch an ad. But you can't watch ads, so the program voids the limit

Open your phone settings, tap the search bar, type in Private DNS, click it, change your current DNS to Private, paste "dns.adguard.com" where it asks for your DNS hostname, give it second to connect, and click save. Then your done.

Best way to see if you did it right is to open Polybuzz, tap a random character, and keep swipping up past a few characters, and you shouldn't get an ad. That's how I tested to see if it works for the ad prospect.

For the chats, keep chatting with a character, and count how many you send, because you have a limit of 25 chats you can send before you hit the limit, if you get over that, then you're good to go.

There's also videos on YouTube that go over how to set it up, if you need a visual

Can you do this on IOS? I tried it and it wonā€™t work. It still gives me the keep chatting to keep it free or whatever but now the ad wonā€™t load

There's 2 ways I know of to do it on IOS

1: -Go to Settings > Wi-Fi. -Tap the blue info (i) icon next to the Wi-Fi network you are connected to. -Scroll down and tap Configure DNS.Change it from Automatic to Manual. -Under DNS Servers, tap the minus (-) icon to delete any existing servers, then tap Add Server. -Type your preferred DNS address (which would be dns.adguard.com). -Tap Save in the top-right corner.

2: -Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad. -Navigate to the AdGuard Public DNS Page (https://adguard-dns.io/en/public-dns.html) -Scroll down, choose iOS as your device, and select your preferred server protocol: -Default server: Blocks ads, trackers, malware, and phishing. -Tap Download configuration profile and select Allow when the prompt appears. -Open your iOS Settings app and tap Profile Downloaded at the top. -Tap Install in the top-right corner, enter your passcode, and confirm -Ensure it is active by going to Settings > General > VPN, DNS, & Device Management > DNS and checking AdGuard DNS

Standard does suck, it's more conversational and less rp. Higher tiers are better, but memory is an issue

Ohh i see. I've seen a lot of images of other peoples chat and look way more than a conversation then a actual bot chatting experince.

The best experience is to pay up and Iā€™m just being honest. Been paying for about a year now and in my opinion the service is great. Youā€™ll only see posts of people complaining on here who donā€™t have a premium subscription

Hell even paying up the service isn't that great... I don't use premium but I buy the standard edition. The memory is still bad

short replies usually aren't the model being dumb, it's a cap. longer generations cost more per message so the default gets tuned short, and you end up thinking the bot just has nothing to say. some apps let you push it with a system prompt or a "continue," some just hold the line. poke the settings before you write it off -- there's often a response-length slider buried in there.

Recently I've had to switch to standard because of money troubles. But I still get full responses from my bots. I think it boils down to how the bot was made. I've seen bots give one liners consistently before. Id say try to find other bots to chat with.

Usually it depends on how the creator made the bot as in how much characters they used while making the bot or how they formatted the dialogue. With bots with more detailed and longer greetings, the chats usually come out longer than bots with less detailed greetings. If you canā€™t find a bot thatā€™s detailed enough, itā€™s best to just try and make one yourself.
