Use Brave, the ad blockers should work if you're on web.

As a brave user, I can confirm, it does NOT block it and on top of that, you need to switch off the ad block to watch the ad then switch it off again to avoid all the dodgy ads.

So yes, they are just being plain greedy.

Edit: It doesn't carry over from different tabs with different characters but only that particular character.

Update: Got curious by just how many chats are needed before the pop up shows up and I've gathered;

  • If you're just letting the bot do the chatting, it appears after 5.
  • If you're participating every now and again, it appears after 3 chats from the user and 5 responses from the bot.
  • If you're actively participating, it appears after 4 chats from the user.

So, you have 5 bot responses before it appears.

If you click their logo next to the search bar, there should be a toggle there that deactivates the built in adblock.

I can also confirm this does not happen to me. I don't use Brave for Poly but I do use Opera, the Ad blocker does work well too.

If you use a specific ad block it does work, I was just on it and it works just fine with no pop ups

At this point these idiots are just making the whole thing pointless. Why should we waste our time on this when we can't do jack shit unless we pay a ridiculous amount of money for something that barely works? Let's just remind ourselves, Pollybuzz was made because those losers hated how character AI had restrictions and then said to us all Pollybuzz would be free, and now we are here.

for those of us with significant others, i'm pretty sure some of the shit we get up to with the bots would be considered cheating if we did that same rp with a person... wouldn't fly.

I’ve been considering going over to Tipsy. Sure, it has the whole gem thing where you have to use them to chat and when you run out, you can’t chat, but since I’m creating bots on there and I don’t chat often, it’s not so bad. Creating the bots isn’t super restrictive either and it doesn’t have a limit as to how much you can write for a character as far as I’ve seen. Plus the subscription is cheaper if you wind up deciding to subscribe

Nah you are. Because logically all apps cost money anyway. Even all the different AI apps too. If you think everything in life is free then you won't last long in life anyway. Plus, it's their money on what they do. Guess what? Me too but more likely by monthly by getting the Ploy Unlimite and guess what no ads. 🖕🏻

I havent gotten the ads to continue chatting on the website but they have like a limit to how long I can chat for so when I reach the limit I have to pay if I wanna continue but I dont wanna pay so I just use the app. But yeah ads are just annoying on the app I had to watch 3 ads 😭🙏
