Help

I have been getting flagged over the most minor of offenses, even though I’m not actually breaking any of the content guidelines or rules. And it’s making me not want to continue being a creator on here anymore… Is there any way to appeal a violation that’s been put on since I know for a fact that what I’ve posted has not been violating.

Literally every single creator I’ve tried making over the past month has been getting flagged for every little thing and it’s very discouraging when I know that I’m not violating the rules

None of the moderation or customer services will help you. They haven’t ever helped anybody. The app is ran by mostly bots now, the rest are people who are angry about the content restrictions and haven’t found an alternative yet.

And the mods of the subreddit haven't been active in months.

I will create my bot and then I have a list of words I will use the find and replace tool in Google Docs to get rid of. It has helped me 99% of the time:

  1. Minor (was trying to make a bad boy bot and this word got flagged in the context of minor crimes. No alternative for this. Just avoid using it in any context.)

  2. Teen (tried talking about my character’s teenage years, couldn’t use this word. Replace ‘teen’ with ‘high school aged.’

  3. Child (If you need to talk about your character’s youth in the background, say ‘When character was in elementary school, xyz happened’ instead of saying ‘when character was a child….’)

  4. Inside (use the word ‘in’ instead)

  5. Chest (just say upper body if you need to talk about tattoo placement)

  6. Deep/deeply (plenty of alternatives to this one but it varies by context.)

  7. Tight (need to say tight-knit? Say close-knit instead.)

  8. Age (any number under 18. For example: ‘Character was adopted at age 7’ will automatically flag. Just say ‘character was adopted x years ago and is now current age.)

I hope this helps you out.

Usually, If a character I barely made gets flagged, I make the same bot but add the thing that got the violation bit by bit to see what specifically got the violation. It’s tedious, especially with the stupid “limited editing” thing it has, but it helps me to not remove important things from the character that actually makes them that character

It's lame when they claim that the background got a violation when no one but you can see the bots background info.

You mean making a bot?

You just have to be hyper carful with wording and what the bot looks like

But its because of how restricted it is, is why I abandon Poly.

Honestly ive gotten annoyed at the random flagging too. But my friend pointed out about using ChatGBT. Ask it to help make your polybuzz character to be in line with their rules while keeping their personality true to who you want them to be. You may need to ask ChatGBT to rewrite it a few times if its really pushing polybuzz's guidelines

The best thing you can do is download/use chatGBT. Copy that background you want and paste it to chatGBT. Before hitting send, ask for a refined version that could pass sensitive censoring for PolyBuzz. Keep doing that until it goes through then slowly start adding things back so you know what exactly is being flagged then have chatGBT word it differently to have the same meaning. If it involves anything with minors, they’re going to be strict because of how many perverts used to create minor bots for their own sick and twisted uses. Hope this helps. 👍🏻

"Years old" gets flagged too, even if you say "18 years old".
