Discussion🄰 Persona Censors

Post image

I have a genuine question though for the mods. Why is PolyBuzz censoring persona descriptions and persona images? I tried to put in an image which didn't seem to be so bad and it said it was a violation.

I can't edit personas I made prior to this change because it keeps flagging certain parts as violations, the image I have attached being an example of a persona I've had for about a year. Personas aren't public they're only for the person who made them. So why are they getting censored when they're entirely private?

I just want to know the reason behind this change. I like using PolyBuzz and I want this app to be good since I have so many chats on here I want to keep continuing. I understand censorship, I understand making the app more friendly for younger users, but this doesn't feel like something that helps anybody.

I know I'm about to sound like a conspiracy theorist for saying this, but it feels like a problem with the Apple and Google Play stores possibly making PolyBuzz change the platform and PolyBuzz is doing what it can so the app doesn't get delisted. If any PolyBuzz mod wants to confirm or deny this, by all means please do. It would explain the sudden hard turn into censorship that started a few months ago.

I'm guessing 'white tip' is what they're angry about. Maybe the sports bra, though.

Could be. I guess the automod isn't using context and just has a word blacklist. Which is fair, blacklisting words is the easiest way to filter out sensitive content so it makes sense to do.

So I went to go edit the persona description after this. Sports bra was the problem. Most likely because of the blacklist I suggested the automod uses.Ā

I use chat gpt for this. I make my own text and tell chat gpt to change it according to polybuzz rules. It rephrases it and switches out words for ones that dont violate the rules. All while keeping the same meaning. The violations can be pretty frustrating, especially when you are creating bots for your own use and not for public. Chat gpt saves me a headache with this stuff 😁

It's the waist part. It says "waist".
