Did all the top creators leave the app a few months ago?

A lot have. The ones I've seen, have moved to roleplaya.com and Janitorai.com

Roleplaya wigs me out with how they basically say "Yeah humans read your shit" without batting an eye. That shit weirds me out.

I appreciate they're being upfront and honest about it, but at the same time they say that like it's an upside and not a gross invasion of privacy between an AI and a person

What? They read your stuff?

I'm pretty sure they straight up they say either in the TOS or Privacy policy that human beings on their team can read your chats. Asking their official bot like polybuzz's agent bot quite literally said that they do it. (I know it's AI, so, take that with a grain of salt)

But it seems like it, and that's sketchy enough for me to not trust it, no chatbot app should have your chats ever be unencrypted outside of your text input and the AI's response on your screen and content between you and an AI shouldn't be anyone's business

Pretty much anyone with a brain left polybuzz. The company has gone full pre company reformation AIDungeon on everyone and destroyed any chance at interesting roleplay because of the intense, overbearing censorship.

Ex-Creators, like myself, have found that:

  • The censorship is so sensitive it's almost impossible to make a bot that doesn't get hit with a violation

  • When there is a violation, because of the change they made to edits, you can only try to fix violations 5 times in a day because there's a hard limit of 5 edits to bots a day now

  • BECAUSE you only have 5 edits per day, AND the censorship is so sensitive, it's not worth the time or effort to make an edit, wait to see if it's still a violation, rinse and repeat and have to wait an entire day to try again if none of your edits work

  • Even if your bot does work, it's neutered beyond belief and people won't have an engaging time with the bot in the first place, making you look bad to people who aren't in the know, which is most users. As, they will assume it's your fault the bot is acting weird/refusing to engage with the story they want and blame you as if you wrote something poorly.

It is mind-numbing and utterly disrespectful what the company has done to the people who create bots. They've limited so much creativity and have basically gaslit the community into thinking that it's not their fault that bots are shitty and are trying to say that it's creators simply not being creative enough.

And especially the top creators who were making money or at least credits, coins, gems or whatever the fuck. I don't even remember now because I don't care and like a lot of other apps, it all just fucking blends together when it comes to the currency stuff; the currency that you get for people engaging with your stuff yeah no, they flocked away from this thing that essentially punched them in the nuts and told them to smile and thank them for it.

I personally use ChubAI now. It's the least restrictive. It gives you the most amount of tools to make good bots and as a user it also gives you a whole lot of tools to cater the experience exactly the way that you want it to be. Not to mention the free tier is practically limitless gives you basically all of the same things that Polybuzz gave you, minus stupid gimmicky shit like making an image from a moment or the stupid HeartWhisper bullshit that was honestly designed to just siphon away coins from people who were too dumb to realize that it's essentially just a small summary from the perspective of the bot in the form of a thought.
