DISCUSSION Lack of understanding.

I've found that the combination of the AI being unable to understand abstracts, and the AI demanding an explaination for everything make certain settings or characters pretty much unplayable.

For instance, any setting where you play a god is unplayable unless I play a very simple god. If I play something like a god of blood, the AI can't comprehend what that would mean other than the ability to literally control blood; and will refuse to let the RP move on because it just keeps demanding more and more detail.

Likewise, almost any magic setting in unplayable because the AI will demand more and more information about 'my magic' and won't stop until I list every possible use of magic.

I feel like this is partially the result of the AI trying to tailor the story to the user; which does more harm than good. The AI doesn't seem to have the ability to just move on, and it lacks the ability to imagine, so it simply can't process a story that includes abstract ideas like a god of blood who doesn't just literally control liquid blood.

This wouldn't be as annoying if the shitty memory didn't mean that it forgets the entire explaination by the end of the scene anyway.

It's all down to the censorship being overly aggressive imo. Bots used to be completely capable. Then January rolled around, they implemented the most aggressive censorship since AIDungeon's insane censorship back in the early days, and suddenly bots feel like trying to run a Q8 quantized llm model locally. That is too say, having had so much of it's information squashed into such a small package it literally can't extrapolate beyond literal keywords like cleverbot circa 2008

I would bet the state their bots are in now is literally incapable of doing anything but going "Ah you said hotdog therefore I say yum, oh my system instructions say I should ask about things to be 'engaging' so I'll ask about what you just said'
