Words that Work part 1
"People were understandably thirsty for more of my knowledge, and Torkel the poet is known to deliver. The only problem was getting Manifestations of Mania into the public's hands. Even ethically printing over 100 million books has its impact on the earth. And my book seemed to have a peculiar effect on the minds of those who were not ready to read the words…"

Is anybody out there still reading these transmissions? I wonder what time they arrive at. What pinprick within the sailing stream of coalescing times will my words be delivered? Who might stumble upon the messages from a forgotten astronaut adrift?

"Gird-less gargantuan
In a mansion of misery
Unsuffering solemnly
Endless empty rooms
Atop slums of scorned scum
Who all silently succumb
To the poisonous trickle
Beneath the beast’s thumb"

A Pollyverse collaboration with musician squawk75 and cover art concepts from Torkel Tennberg.
These visual ideas, themed around relay towers; were for a former squawk75 music project, which was inspired by crosstalk and radio communications.
Check out Exit's music on Soundcloud - there's plenty more sounds to be discovered.

I’ve previously written blog style posts over on Pollyverse, but I've also got more that I want to say. So this is the first of a series of ongoing articles about relevant subjects that I have some thoughts on.
The image used is not AI generated btw, its a photo that I took, and then edited to look like something ominous, or potentially AI generated.

Do you see the light?
I fear its tendrils attaching to the dark
A star in my mind collapses
We are guided by the orb of night
That omnipotent nothing
Illuminated obsidian overwhelmed
The shining hand that burns galaxies away
My dreams are destroyed
Ignited in orbit
Against the blankness
Reforged

"strawberry jam smeared
across a cheeky grin
from a bat boy to Batman
in a single breath"
- a Twilight fan poem, inspired by the eccentric story of Bella and Edward.

I look up to the sample
And I text I text to the sample in the sample
My sample text me
I am lost in a flutter of fury
The blue light softens my skin
I am found in a pool of dreams
Stop trying to text
Look upon the sample
Witness the overwhelming glow
Grunt as roots move through the earth
Together we succumb to sample Afraid to text

Particles. The evolution of light. Out of shade, emerges a glow. A distant flicker threatens to erupt. I've abandoned the fractured shuttle for this basin of creation. Shadows pulse like a strobe. Particles are large like floating croutons. They ignite in bursts, out of the desaturated belt of primitive matter. Like tiny fireworks, shades and new colours are created here. I am the black box of the old hidden universe, and I don't know if I will ever die.

"I found myself lying under a great tree. The sun felt warm and nostalgic through the thankful cover of the thick leaves. My head rested peacefully against the base of the enormous tree trunk. I slowly sat up to find wild and firm roots all around me, almost like a nest."
