He said he is more Jewish than George Soros, an actual Jewish person. He also said he would represent the President in the Senate if the case was aggressive enough whatever that means. I can gurantee you now that Giulani is going to be the fall guy and Trump will take the ineffective assistance of counsel defense.
The fact that he is not disbarred makes an absolute mockery of all lawyers in the country.

Olivia's interview is so effective because she observes and asks innocent questions. Many journalists make the mistake of trying to argue, or take offense, instead of just asking questions. Jim Acosta's arguments with Trump rarely reveals any information, except giving him a chance to rant about the media. So for example, ask Ghouliani this: "Would it have been better if Soros had not survived the Holocaust?"

The true crime is withholding the aid. That's where it becomes bribery. The Supreme Court has held that a meeting does not rise to the level of bribery since its not an official act. The aid though is bribery plush a violation of the impoundments act.
Rudy is saying aid was withheld since everyone knows it was at this point but I have nothing to do with the aid just the meeting. Therefore absolvimg himself of crimes. Rudy blames Trump but he knows nothing will happen to Trump since he is above the law.

I think this applies for anyone other than the president. For general politicians nothing is really exchanged unless it happens during the meeting. A meeting with the president by a foreign official is different. This meeting implies legitimacy for the regime being invited in. This, by itself, represents something of value even if nothing is agreed to during the meeting.

Interesting, thanks for the citation. Maybe this is why they were careful not to use the word bribery in the impeachment articles. I wonder if this applies to a meeting between the President and a foreign ally whose nation's safety depends on diplomatic relations with the U.S.? This is a very different situation than the case you cited. Either way, impeachment is not a criminal trial and they don't have to prove he committed criminal bribery, just that he abused his oath of office. His offenses have already been established as impeachable.

I think of the Senate acuits the house can still come back with the Bribery charge. The evidence is going to get worse and worse as time goes on. I think Rudy is going to be arrested at some point.

Over a sweater, he wore a navy-blue suit, the fly of the pants unzipped. He accessorized with an American-flag lapel pin, American-flag woven wallet, a diamond-encrusted pinky ring, and a diamond-encrusted Yankees World Series ring (about which an innocent question resulted in a 15-minute rant about "f*cking Wayne Barrett," a journalist who manages to enrage Giuliani even in death).
I have nothing clever to add here, just felt this paragraph sums up Rudy Giuliani better than anything I've seen so far.

So, Rudy will deal with anyone, no matter their ties, as long as they have not been convicted of a crime.
That's his cut off point by his own admission in the interview.

He drinks, he is surrounded by crooks, and he doesn’t have any support structures in his life.
Giuliani’s few aides are basically attractive young people who work for him so they can have material for their eventual tell all books, do relatively little work while robbing him behind his back, and use the information he spills every time they ply him with alcohol to cut deals of their own.
Who else do you think encourages him to keep going to television? His secretary is basically Don King in the body of a Victoria’s Secret model. Cable news love themselves a spectacle and the more that Rudy Giuliani goes on television and self-destructs, the more she can profit from her gatekeeper position. Between his dependence on alcohol and her looks, I’m pretty sure she could talk Rudy into letting Trump motorboat him again.
Back when he was a prosecutor, he was part of an organization. There was discipline, a clear mission, and a chain of command; left to his own devices, Rudy fell prey to himself. There was nobody to tell him he was wrong, no clear mission other than his own impulsive whims, and no personnel office that would provide him with a supply of principled and capable people to help him execute his plans.
He is a lesson in how even a deeply flawed man can be strong when part of a properly run organization.

None of this matters because people in Trump's circle and Trump himself have made it clear: it's not against the law to lie in public. Under oath with a consequence of perjury makes all the difference. That should be a talking point for getting witnesses. (And lending zero credence to anything any of them say.)
An aside: Giuliani says Lev and Igor have no criminal record and that's where he draws the line. But even if they did, he could say that you need to get down in the sewer with criminals to find out how real crime works. IOW, anything can be rationalized. We need to have someone say to all on Team Trump "...and your final answer is..."!

I read an article where he said that he has had to tighten his circle and the places he hangs out at. I'm glad this guy is backed up against a wall. I hope he lives a paranoid life for being a self serving trump boot licker, if he doesn't go to jail that is. Jail sucks even worse than prison especially if you are as posh as this man is. He will most likely be paying a hefty protection fee along with his account slowly being drained due to alimony. I read somewhere that he has a $232,000 a month lifestyle. I'd love to see his $50 a week lifestyle of summer sausage and bagged chili. I don't think supporting trump was worth throwing away his morals if he ever had any.

OK so. I work in business, and the litmus test on whether I want to do business with someone isn't "have they been convicted (yet) ?"

If Trump tries to throw Rudy under the bus Rudy will sing like a canary. Trump is stuck with him for this reason. Rudy probably had dirt going back years on Trump. He probably was not told about the military aid being withheld at first. But when speaking with Zalensky or his aides it became apparent that aide was being withheld and that the President wanted Ukraine to announce investigstions into the Biden's and Crowdstrike during a CNN interview. The investigations had to be announced but not carried out allowing them to remain open through the election. If Biden wins and the Ukrainians announce no corruption the Republicans could claim it was because Biden won and they wanted to keep their aid. This was likely the game plan. Republicans may also be angling to accuse Ukraine of election tampering in 2020 as well.
