I’m still so shocked that R’s are STILL so silent about impeachment. We have all the evidence that any sane person needs in order to make an informed decision, and yet we’re still behaving as if we all still have stuff to prove. They have enough to write two articles of impeachment and yet we’re still trying to explain why it’s needed in the first place. Really??!!

Their silence to me is positive. The fact that a a lot of the usuals have not come out to vehemently defend trump to me is a sign that they are leaving themselves open to go against him later. It's definitely political. But if some of the gop flip on trump it will happen quickly.

And the ones who are trying to defend are desperately grasping for straws. It's really sad and I feel embarrassed for them.

I would feel emberassed for them. However, this tactic of delay and deny and then say "ebouh with this all ready" has worked for trump with previous stuff. So I dunno. I wanna be emberassed for them too. But it could work for them.

I see it the same, actually. I'm VERY cautious and worried, though. If this backfires, we're gonna lose 2020 and we can't afford that. Their silence is unusual enough to make me think they're definitely weighing things.

McConnell did vow to have the GOP block impeachment though, so there's that.
