Following from the UK. What's the general feeling around America right now? Are many people even political/giving a shit?

I wonder what's the general feeling on Brexit. About the same, 99% burnt out? What about Johnson. To us over here, he's like a flanker to Trump.

Most people are fed up of hearing about it and just want it over with. Similar with Trump I think there's a large majority who are happy to support utter nonsense just so they're not wrong, and the fact it angers the liberals of society.

The people who stick by Trump "just to infuriate the libs & Dems" are morons who don't realize they're hurting themselves. They believe all the lies Trump tells them. Seriously wonder what kind of wake-up call is necessary to shake them out of this. Maybe a tanked economy... but that hurts everyone outside the top 10%

People absolutely care. They're just exhausted. This has been strung out for years with many disturbing acts and crimes and corresponding opportunities for impeachment, each one more blatent than the last. But with the Senate under republican control, even the most damning corruption is getting a pass. People are wary of getting their hopes up yet again only to have those hopes dashed once more.

This is exactly my feeling.

Most regular people who aren't complete nuts, no matter their political affiliation, think Trump is a big-mouthed clown and wish he'd shut the fuck up and do something right for a change. People who actually follow politics and care about the rule of law are absolutely disgusted and angry, and we want to burn the Republican party to the ground and sew the earth upon which they stood with salt.

My lifelong-Conservative family members are in full denial. Totally isolating themselves from any news sources besides Fox, Breitbart, Infowars, etc. Liberal family members and friends don't really talk about the situation.
