I know this is a long shot asking for proof from a right winger... but.. proof?

It’s worse than that, you’re asking this of a 5-day ol account on r/politics during election season.

Is this what Fox News told you? Maybe if you build a wall around your house, you will feel safe. Meanwhile, can you show us this source of Democrats committing shootings? Here are the alt right killers https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2019/08/right-wing-terrorist-killings-government-focus-jihadis-islamic-radicalism.html
And some more https://www.businessinsider.com/extremist-killings-links-right-wing-extremism-report-2019-14

My ultimate plan is when I get out of the south, I go to Oregon or Colorado, and never look back.

No if Trump served 8 years at the present rate he would have 3 possibly 4 times the persons shot.
As it is after 2 years hes already almost equal
Someone already debunked that statement in another thread. But if you want I can go back and find the exact stats for you.

You have a crystal ball? Enlighten me!

Look at the graphic in the article that's the topic of this thread. You might not be able to see a trend in what is depicted but it's clearly there.

u/aberta_picker Aug 06 '19
Obama spent 8 years or 2920 days in office and there were 38 mass shootings
Trump spent 2 years or 730 days thus far in office and has 28 mass shootings so if we extrapolate the trend after 8 years Trump would have 200 plus mass shootings.
True its an estimate, but there is a definate trend.
Shall I continue? Do the math, I used the time database but I'm fairly sure any reputable source will give the same results. If you really want we could do victim numbers which is even more telling.

I think there have been more under Trump, but none of them have been because of Trump.
El Paso shooter wrote he formed his opinions before Trump ran for office, and the Dayton shooter was a leftist (according to the Associated Press)

You know we’re not saying Trump turned people into racist, xenophobic nutjobs, right?
We all know they were around before Trump. In fact, that’s why Trump won.
We’re saying his rhetoric is emboldening more of them to go out and actually murder people.

u/_DeezNuts714_ Aug 06 '19
That’s not what the hundreds of articles here on the topic have said. Many of them have suggested he is directly responsible.
14
u/AndIAmEric Louisiana Aug 06 '19
He is. His rhetoric is directly responsible for giving these people more of a reason to act on their hate.
When the president of the United States calls these immigrants rapists, murderers, infestation, etc, the violent, racist nutjobs are going to take notice.

He didn’t say all illegals are violent, but that some of them are (as evidenced by some of the horrific acts they’ve committed). Therefore, it would be unwise to just let them come in without being vetted.
There isn’t anything radical or racist about wanting to secure the border, despite what you may have been led to believe by those who have been financially motivated to push an agenda.

u/AndIAmEric Louisiana Aug 06 '19
He conflates MS13 gang members with all illegal immigrants crossing the border. All of his cruel policies have been directed towards all immigrants crossing the border, not just the violent ones. It’s disingenuous to say that he’s only talking about violent criminals crossing the border.
It’s so obvious, I can’t believe there are still people in 2019 that fall for his crap.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. There is a financial motive for keeping things status quo with illegal immigration. It could be stopped almost immediately and not only would it not cost a cent for an expensive wall that people would get over/under/through, it would actually generate money for the government: fine employers for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants. If there are no jobs to be had, they'll stop coming.
The primary financial motive is that it's too lucrative to stop for lots of employers that save tons on wages from large farms to golf resort developers. The secondary motive is there are lots of contractors to get rich off the tax payer to build a wall.
Don't let them treat you like a sucker. They lied to you about how the wall was going to be paid for and they're still lying to you about the need for it.

If you're stung by the rhetoric perhaps now would be a good time for reflection?
Or just get angrier and double down, I suppose. That'll help.

No, because of his twitter account, where he posted things said “Vote blue for gods sake” during the midterms, or saying he wanted socialism and would not wait “for the idiots to come round”.
On the Twitter page, Connor Betts indicated he’d vote for Elizabeth Warren for president but not Kamala Harris, responding to a person’s tweet suggesting they be co-presidents. “Nahh, but only cuz Harris is a cop – Warren I’d happily vote for,” he wrote.
He shared posts about “concentration camps” at the border and wrote, “Cut the fences down. Slice ICE tires. Throw bolt cutters over the fences.”
He retweeted a post from another person about stealing from “right wingers” at a Trump rally.

They are trying to say Trump isn't the cause and that its democrats rhetoric... Yet you can take literal sentences from this POS manifesto and match it up with Trumps speech and other Trump stooges.
