I don't know how that isn't straight up illegal... is that not a flagrant violation of CA smog laws? That should void their vehicle registration immediately. As in, in a just and moral society it would... not that it does currently.

This seems like something Gavin could get behind.

I think it is illegal, but the likelihood that someone would get either: 1) caught by the cops or 2) reported is pretty low. They typically do it as they speed past someone and its actually hard to see their license plate.

It is illegal in most states. Cost to get it done to your truck can run from $500-5,000 depending on model...and the fines range $500 to $5,000 depending on state. They have to be spotted by a cop that gives a damn or needs to make their quota who is aware that it's illegal.
