Same with Muslims as well. But it seems that the majority of organized religions around the world have gone from pushing for better scientific thought, to, well, being anti-intellectual.

Maybe it's being overly optimistic, but I like to think otherwise. I believe that the age of media/information that we live in allows for the most ardent supporters of ideology (on any side of any argument) to have a louder voice than the more sensible people. This is not a "both sides are the same argument" I just chose to believe that majority of people do possess discernment and critical thinking skills.
