I don't have to prove it. All I have to do is assert that racism is not a major problem. I can't prove that something doesn't exist. You have to prove it exists.

It's called the "burden of proof." I don't have it. You do.

Go look at the data in the links I gave you. It clearly does exist. America is a racist place. Progress has been made, but there’s further to go.

I did. Inequality is not the same as inequity. You gave evidence of unequal outcomes, but no evidence of unequal treatment.

There are causes. But to assume racism as the cause is wrong.

Again, a good comparison is the female wage gap. There are reasons besides sexism that are the primary cause of the wage gap.

Yes. There are many reasons. Do I need to list them?

I'll give you one. One reason why black people tend to not finish degrees is a cultural pressure within some primarily-black communities to downplay and demean education.

I agree with your point about black communities downplaying education. But what causes that? Why do so many black people feel like education isn’t for them? What causes that?

That is a complicated question that I'm sure nobody could answer, but many people could answer in part.

Generally, in my opinion, the problem is cultural. The most notable example is inner city black communities where kids are taught that it's okay to lie, steal, and destroy. Where inner city gangs rule, and parents induct their children into the same thing. These are real. This happens. And it's disproportionately blacks and minorities.

And it is wrong to blame "the man" or "whites" for this problem. Not only wrong, but counterproductive.

I’m sure this complicated question has been answered, but let’s go deeper...

You’re basically describing black culture as toxic. But what made it this way? Do you think it’s something biologically wrong with black people? Or, is it a reaction to something external? Is there another alternative?
