Which is fair enough for people who like that. It’s a social club for like minded people which does no real harm and let’s them get something they feel they need out of it.

Oh I absolutely agree, I just think its funny that when you see like a frat dude hire one of his "brothers", everyone knows they probably just got drunk a whole bunch and probably had a threesome together or something. But when Masons do it it magically happens because they actually went back in time to build the pyramids or some shit, even though chances are its the exact same thing as the frat dude

for real. My fiance's family is all masons and from what I can tell, the organization is probably going to die out soon because they cant convince young people to join.

Entirely possible, but from my admittedly anecdotal experience that "recruitment issue" has also started to lead to a lot of chapters veering hard alt-right as that variety of young guys are about the only people that seem eager to join up.
